Cuba-Un poco de todo


This is a Cuban vacation spot called Varadero. It is pretty famous for it's relaxing paradise. It is on a beach side of Cuba. People go there for any reason, they just want to party, or for a special reason. There are Restaurants and bars, for everyone to enjoy. When the sun sets the view is magnificant! This is a wonderful vacation spot and we should all go here for fun!

Cuba-Lugares Importantes



This is the capital building, of Cuba (building on the left). The cappital's name is Havana. The cordinates are 23°8′N 82°23′W. Hundreds of people walk back and forth, in front of the building, everyday. In this city, there are musicians, who love to play their music, the rumba. Havana attracts thousands of tourists a year, to come and see this magical place. People come from Canada, and even from Europe, to see this place! This place have a wonderful view. You should come here some day.





This is a picture of Santiago de Cuba which is the former capital. This is the island's second largest city in Cuba currently. Its nice culture and personality came from the combination of Caribbean aboriginals, Africans, Spaniards and Asians. This is a colonial city that strives for life. Street festivals are very important. The province of Santiago is where salsa’s basic rhythms started. This is another very popular city that should be visited in the human lifespan.

Cuba-Comida



This dish is called, Arroz con pollo. In english, this means " chicken with rice ". This is one of the most beloved chicken dishes in Cuba. This dish can make any meal special. These are some great ingredients: 1 large chicken, about 4 pounds, cut into 8 pieces, 1 tsp dried oregano1 tsp ground cumin, 1/2 tsp freshly ground white pepper, 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar. This dish is also found in Peru, but very different. This mouth watering chicken will make you go for seconds.

This desert above, is called Cuban Mojito Cake. This amazing desert is made with pineapple. Here are the ingredients for it: 20 ounce of crushed pineapple, box of angel fod cake, 8 ounces of cream cheese, 1/4 cup of lime juice, 4 tablespoons of powdered suger, 1 teaspoon of rum extract, 8 ounce of cool whip, 1/3 cup of shredded coconut, zest of lime, mint leaves. This dish is made from simple ingredients, but has the power of a king. If you like cake, you will surely love this one!

Cuba-Gobierno


This man is Fidel Castro. Fidel was born, August 13, 1926. He has been the Prime Minister of Cuba, from February 1959, to December 1976, until his resignation, in 2008. He is currently, The First Secretary, of the communist Party of Cuba. He came to power as a result of the Cuban Revolution. He was born into a wealthy family, and got a law degree. Studying at Havana University, he began his political career and became a recognized person, in the politics of Cuba.

This man is Raúl Modesto Castro Ruz. He was born on June 3rd, 1931. He is the younger brother of Fidel Castro. Raúl Castro was elected President at the 24 February 2008. On 31 July 2006, Raúl Castro assumed the duties of President of the Council of State in a temporary transfer of power due to Fidel Castro's illness.
